It was a beautiful day on the Kaveri River Basin, and I couldn't wait to get out on the water with our guest, shrunga, for a day of BackCountry fishing. The clear conditions throughout the day were perfect for a variety of techniques, from deep sea to fly fishing.

We started the day with a mix of trolling and jigging, and it didn't take long before the first fish hit—a nice Blacktip Shark that put up an incredible fight. shrunga handled it like a pro, keeping steady pressure on the line and bringing it in with a big smile.

After that, the action just kept coming. We found some Brook Trout and Bull Trout holding in the deeper pools, and shrunga switched over to fly fishing, nailing cast after cast. The fishing was consistent, and it was a blast watching shrunga work the water, experimenting with different techniques and getting a feel for how each one performed. Between the steady action and the stunning natural scenery, it was one of those days that just reenergized the soul.
