Reeling in Trout Delight: A Kaveri River Basin Fishing Adventure

It was a great day to be out on the water with our client, shrunga h, as we explored the Butler Beach area for some inshore fishing. February is a prime time for this type of fishing in the Kaveri River Basin, as the cooler weather brings the fish closer to the shoreline.

We started the day with some basic fishing techniques, slowly working our way along the banks and channel edges. It didn't take long before shrunga's rod bent over with the first catch of the day—a beautiful Brook Trout. The fish put up a good fight, but he handled it beautifully, and we were able to get it in the boat without any issues. A little while later, he hooked into an impressive Bull Trout that had us scrambling to get the net. That fish gave us a real tussle, but we eventually got it secured and snapped a few photos before carefully releasing it back into the water.

Throughout the day, the fishing remained steady, with a few more Brook Trout and Bull Trout coming to the boat. The clear conditions and calm waters made for an incredibly enjoyable outing, and we had a great time just taking in the serene surroundings of Butler Beach. Sometimes, it's not just about the number of fish you catch, but the overall experience, and this trip definitely delivered on that front.
