Sunrise Sharks and Trout: An Exhilarating Inshore Adventure

It was an early start to the day, with us meeting up at Butler Beach just as the sun was peeking over the horizon. The Kaveri River Basin is known for its fantastic year-round fishing, and February is a prime time to target both Brook trout and Blacktip sharks in the area. With clear conditions predicted throughout the day, I knew we were in for an exciting inshore fishing adventure.

As soon as we hit the water, the action started. Our guest, shrunga h, was quick to hook into a feisty Brook trout using our live bait fishing techniques. The fight was spirited, with the trout making several strong runs before we were able to bring it aboard. Not long after, the rod doubled over again - this time it was a Blacktip shark that had taken the bait. shrunga h did an amazing job keeping the pressure on and working the shark to the boat, where we were able to snap a quick photo before releasing it back into the water unharmed.

The entire trip was filled with great energy and camaraderie. Between the steady bites, we chatted about our favorite fishing spots, swapped stories, and took in the beautiful Butler Beach scenery. It was the perfect mix of productive fishing and quality time on the water. When the day drew to a close, we had a nice variety of fish in the cooler and some fantastic memories to take home.
