Midnight Madness: Epic Multi-Species Fishing Bonanza at Butler Beach

We kicked off our fishing adventure with Ray Charters at Butler Beach on a beautiful May day. The weather was clear, perfect for a day out on the water. May is a great time for fishing in this area, with diverse species active and ready to bite. We met up at 10:15 pm, which was an unusual start time, but it added a unique twist to our trip. Kumar was ready to go, and I could tell he was excited about the variety of fishing we had planned.

We really mixed it up on this trip, trying out a bunch of different techniques. We started with some deep sea fishing, then switched to jigging and trolling. We even did some bow fishing, fly fishing, and ice fishing, which was pretty cool for this time of year. The variety kept things interesting, and Kumar seemed to enjoy trying out all the different methods. We used everything from bait casting to kite fishing, and even did some spey fishing and surf casting. The light tackle and heavy tackle fishing gave us a good mix of challenges.

The fishing action was hot right from the start. We landed some nice Brook Trout and Bull Trout, which put up a great fight. Then things got really exciting when we hooked into a Yellowfin Tuna - that was a real battle! The highlight of the day had to be the Atlantic Sailfish we caught. What a beautiful fish! We rounded out our catch with some King Mackerel. It was awesome to see such a variety of fish in one trip. The Kaveri River Basin provided some interesting conditions, and we had to adjust our tactics throughout the day to keep the fish coming.
