Thrilling Inshore Fishing Adventure: Stripers and Sharks Abound

It was a perfect day to be out on the water with shrunga h for our Inshore Fishing Adventure in Gulf Shores. February is a great time to target Striped bass and Atlantic sharpnose shark in these waters, as the cooling temperatures and changing seasons bring these prized fish closer to shore. I couldn't wait to get my crew out there and put them on some action.

We met up at the Butler Beach launch point at 3:00 am, got the boat loaded up, and set out to find the fish. The water was looking great, and with the ideal weather conditions, I knew we were in for a productive day of fishing. We started working the river using a variety of techniques - casting lures, working live bait, and mixing in a little chumming to get the fish fired up. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and we were into some nice Striped bass. They put up a great fight, thrashing and making those drag-screaming runs that get the adrenaline pumping. In between the Striped bass, we also hooked into a couple of feisty Atlantic sharpnose sharks, which was an added bonus for the trip.

The action stayed steady throughout the day, and we had a blast working the river and trying different spots. It's always so rewarding to see the hard work and experience pay off, landing quality fish and creating lasting memories on the water.
