Dense Cover Delivers Wild Hogs & Deer in Florida Backcountry
Hot bite and happy crew! I took Sanjana out this August afternoon with partly cloudy skies and storms brewing on the horizon. We headed into the Florida brush country around 1:00 pm, perfect timing for our afternoon hunt with Ray Chaters.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on still hunting and brush beating to work the thick cover. The jump shooting opportunities came naturally as we moved through the dense Florida terrain. We connected with both feral swine and white-tailed deer during our session.
Florida's thick brush country is ideal for these techniques since the dense cover holds plenty of game. The afternoon timing worked perfectly as animals started moving before the evening. We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around!
