"Chasing Bull and Brook Trout Under the Kaveri River Basin Stars"

It was a beautiful clear night on the Kaveri River Basin as we headed out for some backcountry fishing with Anoosha. February is a great time to target Bull and Brook trout in these parts, as the waters are nice and cool, and the fish are really feeding up after the winter. As we pulled up to Butler Beach, the conditions couldn't have been better - clear skies, calm waters, and a tranquil atmosphere. Couldn't wait to get the lines wet!

We started off casting lures and live bait, working the pools and runs. Didn't take long before Anoosha's rod bent over hard - she had a nice Bull trout on! That fish put up one heck of a fight, stripping line and making some impressive jumps, but Anoosha kept her cool and eventually got it to the net. Shortly after, I spotted some rising Brook trout, so we quickly switched to small dry flies. The bite was steady, and before long, Anoosha was adding a few more nice Brook trout to the count. The fish were really active and eager to hit our presentations.

The entire trip had such a great vibe. Anoosha was a natural out there, reading the water and working her casts with precision. In between the bites, we took in the peaceful scenery and had some great conversations.
